Copywriting

Copywriting is like the Cowardly Lion that accompanies Dorothy in search of the Wizard of Oz. Find out why is that!

The story of The Wizard of Oz as inspiration

In the movie “The Wizard of Oz”, the story begins with the monotonous life of the protagonist, Dorothy. Her life is in black and white.

However, the plot arises at the moment when a tornado hits the place where Dorothy lives, Kansas. The tornado takes her dog, Toto, and her to the magical land of Oz.

What is the Marketing of Oz

The story of The Wizard of Oz served to me as an inspiration for the “Marketing of Oz”.

By the Marketing of Oz, I mean all the types of marketing that contribute to potential customers crossing the bridge from a NO to a YES. Direct marketing, too.

The Marketing of Oz is marketing that gives results.

The similarities between the Wizard of Oz and the Marketing of Oz

  • The first similarity is the idea that we have the power to change things. After searching for the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy realised that she just needed to tap her ruby sleepers three times to return home. In your case, once you find Marketing of Oz —direct marketing— you realise you need to have compelling content to make your potential customers become customers.

  • Another similarity is that adventure brings the change. When Dorothy said YES to the adventure, the movie turned from black and white to a movie in colour. On the other hand, when I said YES to this marketing adventure, my story turned from grey to yellow.

The differences between the Wizard of Oz and the Marketing of Oz

On the other hand, there are several differences between the story of the Wizard of Oz and this blog, dedicated to the Marketing of Oz.

  • In the story of The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy is the protagonist. On this blog, you are the protagonist.

  • The story of The Wizard of Oz emphasises the importance of the search. When it comes to this blog, I emphasise the importance of finding and achieving results.

  • As the story of The Wizard of Oz unfolds, friendships are formed. On the Writing-Friendly Blog, I’m looking for collaboration. However, I also hope for friendships.

  • In the end, Dorothy is driven by a desire to return. On the other hand, I hope you’re driven by a desire to stay in the land of direct marketing.

Copywriting is like the Cowardly Lion of the Wizard of Oz

Compelling content has an essential role in the Writing-Friendly Blog.

Copywriting is like the Cowardly Lion who wants to ask the Wizard of Oz for courage.

  • Nevertheless, in the movie, Dorothy is the protagonist, while the Cowardly Lion accompanies her. The adventure consists of searching for the Wizard of Oz.

  • On the Writing-Friendly Blog, you’re the protagonist, while copywriting accompanies you. The adventure is about finding direct marketing, but not about asking for or getting courage. In this adventure, we show the courage to achieve the results.

Discover the “Copywriting” posts

Finally, the adventure of Dorothy and her companions ends when they find the Wizard of Oz. In our case, after we find the Marketing of Oz, the adventure begins.

  • To say “yes” to this adventure, start by reading the posts from the category “Copywriting”. Learn more about direct marketing and find out how it can contribute to your company’s business results.

  • To say “YES” to the adventure, please sign up for the newsletter. You’ll receive the latest post every 15th of the month. Besides that, I’m preparing surprises (only for the subscribers).

Let the adventure begin!

I’m waiting for you in the comments.
