If a tornado “dragged” you to the digital marketing field, and now you feel like if you were in the land of Oz, Writing-Friendly Blog is the right place for you.
The land of Oz is a magical place. The “land” of digital marketing, too. However, both remain unknown to many people.
Those are places that make you leave the comfort zone and encourage you to take a step towards adventure. Once you enter the “land” of digital marketing, you’re no longer in Kansas.
That’s why I decided to create this blog.
My goal is to accompany you through that particular “land”.
To meet this goal, I write about topics related to digital marketing in a straightforward, fun, and easy-to-understand way.
I’m not doing that so you can go back home as soon as possible. I’m doing it, so you can understand how to get around the “land” of digital marketing.
My intention is to help you say YES to the adventure.
Dorothy was looking for the Wizard of Oz.
We will find the Marketing of Oz.

Why did I call my blog Writing-Friendly?
I’m not the only one to accompany you on this journey.
Three characters from the Marketing of Oz will do it, too.
The Scarecrow accompanies Dorothy in search of the Wizard of Oz. Scarecrow needs the brain.
The Cowardly Lion is her second companion. Although he’s the king of animals, the Lion lacks courage.
Dorothy’s last companion is the Tin Man. At the end of the movie, he asks the Wizard of Oz for a heart.
These three characters represent three categories of the posts:
content writing, copywriting, and UX writing.
Content writing – To run an excellent content marketing, it’s essential to use the brain the Scarecrow desperately needs. In other words, you must define a content strategy, establish an editorial calendar, and measure the results. In the posts that belong to the category of content writing, I write about these topics.
Copywriting – If you lack courage, how can you attract clients willing to cross the bridge from NO to YES? Companies should be the first to dare to bet on creativity, opt for originality, and invest in persuasion.
UX writing – UX writing is the last category of posts. In these posts, I write about how to improve user experience by writing. Why? Because there are no tin-made users in the “land” of digital marketing. Those who speak to us as if we were so, make a mistake. We all deserve empathy because we all have the heart.
Since the three categories contain the expression “writing” in their names,
I decided to call my blog Writing-Friendly.
“There’s no place like home.”
Who am I?
My name is Stasa Durdic. I’m a content writer, copywriter, and UX writer. I’m also the author of the posts published on Writing-Friendly Blog and a survivor of two particular tornadoes.
The first tornado took me from Serbia to Spain in 2010. The second one, from web journalism to the digital marketing field.
Both tornadoes were vital for me because they made me:
- Discover the storytelling – Toto accompanied Dorothy through the land of Oz. Stories accompany me through the “land” of digital marketing.
- Learn the branding – Glinda, the good fairy of the East, helped Dorothy so that her adventure ends with a happy ending. In my case, it’s branding that’s helping me.
And you know what? I liked the life over the rainbow so much that I have no intention of returning to Kansas. Writing-Friendly Blog is my new home.
Dorothy’s story is the journey from a life in black and white to life in colour.
My story is the journey from grey to yellow.

Now that we’ve met, it’s time to start the journey towards the Marketing of Oz. It’s a marketing that understands, helps, and leads from a NO to a YES.
